Teaching and learning with Greener Futures

Greener Futures is a unique internet teaching resource designed to link with a wide range of national curriculum requirements.

Greener Futures is concerned with the impact our lifestyles have upon the environment. It provides a unique means of collecting and collating information about :

  • our environment,
  • our daily living/travel/eating habits,
  • the wildlife around our homes,

and it compares this information with that from another area or from pupils at another school.

Greener Futures also gives information and facts about :

  • our natural environment and wildlife.
  • healthy eating.
  • transport.
  • waste.

It provides a valuable tool to develop pupils' research skills and gives material and stimulus to encourage pupils' questioning about how well we care for our world and what we can do to improve it. Also, to consider and discuss the kind of world we want to be living in now and in the future.

Greener Futures is divided into Key Stages 1, 2 & 3, each with discreet Internet sites, providing Key Stage specific teaching aids. For more information on each Key Stage, click on the link below.
